except for that horrible Nike 3 wood, looks like the fat chick that hangs out with all the hot girls in that bag.

    the new satchel

well, I have been looking for a new bag for awhile and had my eye on this one, the Limited Edition Sun Mountain Three 5.

    http://www.golftown.com/gtcommerce/s...P11277C27.aspx

Until I saw the new Titleist Limited Edition Canada Bag they just released.

    http://www.golftown.com/gtcommerce/s...P11673C27.aspx

So I went to GT yesterday, put them side by side and pulled the trigger on the SM. Note these bags are very similar, SM makes both. The reasons I went with the SM were: extra pocket for my rangefinder, lighter (3.5lbs vs. 4.4 lbs), overall I liked the look of it better and it was $10 cheaper. The only downside was that the Titleist has the velcro at the bottom to hold the legs in place on the cart. I guess that would have put the SM over the 3.5 lb mark. The SM 3.5 may be the perfect bag.

I thought it might interesting to revisit this thread to see how different the golf bag has changed from the beginning of the year. The only thing that has changed in my bag is that I am now playing the Cally FT-9 driver and FT-3 wood.

I'm sure to no one's surprise my entire bag has changed.

If the site accepted bmp images I'd post my bag, but I'm sure at some point I'll figure out how to post pics.

HiBore XLS 10.5 w/ Pink NVS 75s (possibly replaced with BiMatrix Proto Pink, to bring down the spin)
    HiBore XLS 19* 5wd w/ Pink NVS 75s
    Idea Pro Gold 23* w/ Javelin 80s
    Srixon I506 4-PW w/ PX 5.5 Satin (might re-shaft w/ X-100s if I get stronger over the winter)
Srixon WG-706 50/54/58 w/ stock steel (really need to switch to something stiffer)
Boccieri K4 MW or Scotty Studio Stainless Laguna 2.5 (going to be pimped with some new paintfill)

Only change I could forsee would be a DST Launcher driver and some 701 Tours if I can find some in my price range. Other than that, really happy with my fwy wd, hybrid, wedges and putter. My urges are slowly subsiding, albeit, I still have the urge to tinker with driver shafts. Still looking for that bombing combo!!!

Happy with my Laguna. Also happy with the Heavy Putter, but no real need for two putters lying around. So one has to go and seeing as how the Laguna has been personalized, it would be tougher to sell.

well I can't remember what was in the bag at the start of the year, but I can post what is in the bag right now:

    TaylorMade R9 9.5*(R) with Accra SE70* M4 (stiff)
    Bridgestone J33 15* with Accra SC75 M4
    Nickent 4DX Pro 3h, 4h, 5-pw hybrids have V2 stiffs, 5-pw have KBS Tours
    Bridgestone WC 52* with Project X 6.0
Titleist Spin Milled 56* with Project X 6.0
    TaylorMade Z-smoke 60* with Project X 6.0
    Titleist Cameron Red X 34"

The driver/3wood in the bag and putter are locked in for next year. As far as the irons, I might be looking for a set of blades (J33's) to have as backup and also looking to either go Z-smoke or Spin Milled (08's) for all 3 wedges with KBS tour shafts.

I actually did really well this year. I still have the same irons, wedges and putter in the bag. The Driver has been replaced with an R9 460TP and the FWs and Rescue have been replaced with R9s as well (OK, so I have 3,4 and 5 R9 fairways but a guy needs options).

I added a couple of TM Staff bags, a new Sunmountain bag, a Callaway uPro, Sunmountain micro cart and some shoes, but accessories don't really count do they

Titleist Spin Milled Wedges 56* & 60* Gun Blued with PX 5.5 shafts

    some

My prime irons will never change...Nike Pro Combo tours with Aldila graphite along with Cleveland CG10 satins for 50* and 56* wedges in the Aldila. My Lob is a CG10 satin with Spinner 4.5
Now the BIG Dog and little puppy seem to be constantly changing..
    Driver is a R7 425TP with a Diamana Blueboard 73 R.
3 Wood is in the grave in favor of an Adams Pro 1H 16* with the VS proto shaft.
The putter started with a Rife 2 bar hybrid mallet and is now A Never Compromise #2.
Nike One Tours for the ball and Nike Staff and Stand bags.

That's right, the r5 was just holdin the driver space until I found a good one and I did have the TM 300s. I really like the Nickent irons now they have certainly made me a believer of hybrids!! Like I said before, I would love to get 5-pw blades again as ballstriking will be my main focus over the winter.

The funny part with my putter is that I have been wanting my red x to get knocked out by the numerous Newport 2's that I acquired but it just seems to flat out work best.

Only changed irons from the beginning of the season. Purchased a set of Bridgestone J36 PC (4-PW with PX5.0 shafts) to replace the Mizuno Pro Forged.
The B'stones are a wonderful forged iron with great feel.

    What's In The Bag Now:
    Driver: Callaway X460
    Woods: Big Bertha 3
    Hybrids: BB Heavenwood 3
    Irons: Callaway Steelhead X-16
    Wedges: Callaway X-Tour 50, Clevland 588 54
    Putter: Callaway Tour Blue TT3
    The Bag: Dunlop

I got rid of the Ben Hogan 3 hybrid, TaylorMade 50* & 60* wedges. Couldn't hit the TM wedges to save my life.
I picked up the BB Heavenwood hybrid and these wedges:
    Callaway X-Tour 50*, Clevland 588 DSG 54*.
I want to get a 58 degree Callaway or Clevland wedge, maybe pick up a Callaway bag.

I would post pics but my X-16's, hybrid and 3wood are still at Callaway getting
    checked out.

    Obviously you're not a golfer.

Not alot of changes, replaced the driver pretty early in the season, went to the round model Nike Sumo 5000 with a Graffaloy blue shaft, i just flat out hit this better and late in the season the Red X got bumped out by an #1 Odyssey black.

All should stay the same with the exception of the 3 wood which i never got use to and going back to a more tranditional rounded head. The square ones looks so big when on the fairway but worked great off the tee.

LOL, ya, but you've got 4 bags!!!!!

I have added a new Driver, 3 Wood, and hybrid - all R9's, and just added the Matrix Ozik Xcon shaft to my R9. New bag as well this summer, Sun Mountain 3.5. It rocks. Also got a new Sunice Tornado Jacket dirt cheap off of ebay.

The bag is now "complete". Well, for now anyways.

The only thing that didn't change this year for me was the bag itself, but that too will change over the winter. Mind you, I just started back up after an 8 year lay off, so updating was a given for me (had to have shiney new stuff).

    Driver - 8.5* Hibore XLS
    3 Wood - 15* Launcher
Irons - (as of last weekend) MP-57s
    Wedges - TM Rac chrome
    Putter - Odyssey 2 Ball.

It's going to be a seriously looooong winter.

Not sure if they'll get along in the bag or not, but if there is any bickering amongst them whatsoever, the Mizuno's win...guaranteed.

I've never been one to sport the same brand from putter through to driver. Next year's project will be a bag for sure, and perhaps the wedges.

Only 3 changes to the bag this year. The driver went from a Superquad to an R9. The 3W went from an R5 to an R9. And a new putter was added. A Scotty Cameron SD5, fully pimped.

    Alright, I'll bite...

Bought new sticks at the start of the year and there has only been some minor adjustments to now:

Driver - from 909D3 to Nike Dymo2 and now also have a low loft (7.5*) G10 with an X-stiff shaft so we will see how long that sticks around

fairway woods - still have the 906F4 5 wood but it has been swapped out of the bag for a Ping G10 3 wood

hybrid - Cobra Baffler DWS 20*

    Irons - Titleist AP2 with PX6.0 shafts (4-PW)

    Wedges - Titleist Vokey 50*, 56* and 60*

Putter - swapped my Scotty Newport 2 back to my old trusty PING G2i Craz-e - man I love that putter! (ps, if anyone has a headcover for it, let me know).

Over the winter I need to re-grip my clubs, possibly re-visit my wedge set-up (same brand though), grab an AP2 3 iron and lower the loft of my hybrid to maybe a 17* or something, and maybe a new Sun Mountain carry bag for when the mood strikes me
