Ping irons.....advice please
Ok so I am going to take advantage of the shaft & grip sale at GT.
I have an old set of Eye 2's that I want to re-shaft with dynamic golds.
Any issues I need to be aware of when pulling the old shafts?
According to Golfsmith, the new shafts only need to be butt trimmed, can I assume this is correct?
If this is a success I may also do my S59's, so the process should be the same for those shouldn't it?
Any and all advice or tips for getting the job done is appreciated.
Thanks, Liam.

According the trim codes on GolfWorks website for TTDG taper tip shafts it's butt trim only.
Look at chart for IR1Some people are like Slinkies... they're really good for nothing, ... but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs...

Thanks for the advice and help guys.
Picked up the shafts and grips from GT today so it's game on!
Also picked up new putter grips too. I love the SC baby t's and the new GP tradition is the same grip really so 4 of them for less than 1 baby t.....good stuff!
I'll no doubt be back on here soon enough telling you all how bad i screwed this up!!! lol
Liam.

Hey Liam,
I played Eye2s for about 10 years and had Eye2 Becu for about 4 of those.
I found the best thing was to heat the hosel about as fast and hot as you can to get the best results. When I was heating the Becu hosel slowly.....a. it took forever and b. it slightly discolored the one I worked on. Fast strong bursts of heat broke the epoxy seal quickly.
Best wishes.
Sean

I put the club on the bench so that the scorelines are parallel and then slide the ruler along the back. It's a little more consistent than doing it on the ground since you can see the lines.

Be careful not to abrade the tip to much. There is no ferule required so you don't want any abrasion showing above the hosel because it will rust.
