Forzani is desperate for this to work because the NB independent stores struggled miserably under the Forzani name.

They obviously have the buying power to outbuy GT, but it depends how serious they want to get with golf. It can't hurt the golf market because any competition is good competition.

Drop by the NB in Merivale Mall and was told NB will not take Sportcheck giftcards but will have their own. Too bad

Sport Chek gift cards are good to go at both NB stores, I am the Department head at Orleans come on down and check us out. Our Flight scope is down but we should be up and running by the weekend, bring your current driver and test it against the New Taylor R9.

How is club selection compared to the Nevada Bob's off the Queensway? Or since it's brand new will there be more product to come?

We offer all the top brands except for Ping and Titleist/Cobra for the time being, it seems that these companies don't think we are serious player in golf. There will be 50 Nevada Bob's stores across Canada in the next 18 months. Sport check is a 1.7 billion dollar company and Golf town is 250 million dollar company. I think we are serious.
We take trades with Global golf same as our competitor, I honestly think you can do way better selling on this form, used club prices drop like a stone regardless of the condition of your clubs, Global only takes major brands and is very strict on condition of the equipment, thus a lot of one star ratings and unlike Golf town we are not selling demo's currently so your equipment will be subject to global prices.
Our pricing policy is what it is, come in and read it. We post clearly in the store.
We hope to compete fairly and offer professional service, our staff is Golf only and we have over 30yrs of golf retail experience in our location.
