How much did you spend in green fees for 2008?
How much did you spend in green fees for 2008? Just playing the game. That is just green fees and maybe a discount membership. For those us who are not members of any club.

Less than $200 in green fees for me last year.
I think I paid green fees 5-6 times, one included a small tournament.
Might have played 65 rounds or so.
So average $3.07/round
My opinions are my own, I do not follow others.

Very timely post---I played a total of 75 games---36 of whuch were with EG. Including the membership cost my total cost was 2275.00 or 22.50 per game. Diane played around 56 so her average was a little higher. I threw out the papers last week but remebered the averages.
When you figured Arizona 9 games (1 month) here 66 games (7 months) that ends up being 285.00 a month for green fees. I dont think you could ask for too much more than that. This also included carts where you had to use one.
All in all I think we in Ottawa have it pretty good.
Sorry--didn't read the question----the average price for AZ was around 40.00 per game---so that would make home cheaper than 22.50Does the 2nd hole-n-one come easier ?

I played 38 rounds last year with 31 rounds plyed locally with green fees approx $1150.
I have decided to play more rounds this year and decided to join a club. This year most of my rounds will be at Greensmere.
Bye.

I probably spent about than $1,600 in local green fees. My full membership at Madawaska cost less than $800 and about $800 was spent on other courses.

Both of us spent about 1000.00 playing other courses than our own( Buckingham)This includes a Ottawagolf and Golfxtra last minute club membership plus full green fees all over. Our annual cost for Buckingham is 2400.00 for both of us and we played over 135 games this year.

Allo Marcos,
135 rounds ... wow. I played over 100 which is really good for Northern Ontario. I din't mii too many day but we start mid May and I don't play much after August ... It is harder to play after supper as the sun goes down earlier...
How is the course in Buckingham. I played lots of course in that region being from Hawkesbury (Montebello, Rockland, Rippon, ...) but never been to Buckingham.
Bonne fin de semaine...If you think it's hard to meet new people, try picking up the wrong golf ball.

Hello Jean-Guy,100 games is also a lot of golf considering were you are situated. We are both retired so we play everyday.Buckingham is a small tight course with some small greens. Its not a flat course by no means but its not too hilly. Its not far from our place(20 min.or so)and there is never any traffic. If your up here give me a shout and we can play a round.
See ya soon(maybe we will play the opener in Perth like last year)

I'm guessing about $1,100 - which includes my RM membership fee - to play my usual 50 - 60 games per year. About 90% through RM and the rest at twilight or on 2-for-1 coupons, etc. I only pay full weekend/weekday prices for golf about two or three times a year - usually when I'm out of town or playing in an event.
I'm very price-conscious when it comes to golf, which is the main reason I haven't joined the NCGT or played in as many events as I would like. Since I got laid off a couple of months ago I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I did the CG thing as well... and played about 30 rounds (a little more for the 2x @ Marshes). ~$780.
+ 1 round Loch March $70
So about $850 (~$27 per round).
Memberships like CG or RM are a must if you play over a dozen rounds locally... more money left over for spontaneous OG purchases!
