    Transplanted Canuck

    Hello to all forum members!

I grew up working and playing golf at the National Golf Club. Those were great days and getting to hang around with George Knudson and Ben Kern was awesome.

If I can help any of you send me a note.
    Take care,

Wow, that looks like quite the spot. I went through the PGM program ended up out of the industry but my good friend worked under Brownie at the National for a few years and loved it, never got to play there though, hoping to do that this year.

Thanks for the note. Brownie is the best. I hope your friend is doing well. Is he still working in the business?

Tetherow in Bend is a great course. It's so "non-boring" and unlike most typical modern courses. It really is a must play if you get to the area.

The National is phenomenal. You'll love it. The back tees are one step away from hell.

    Take care,

    Martin

Yes my friend is in the business still, his name is Greg Lecky and he is now the first associate at The Georgian Bay Club.

    Hi 3wood,

Lost tracks is a fun course. The owner, Brian Whitcomb, is a great guy and former president of the PGA. I've lived in Bend a little over a year now and I haven't gotten around to many courses yet. I pretty much stick to mine or wherever they have a tourney.

    Cheers,

    Martin

Ah Oregon! Some of my favourite wine country. You should go check out the Secret House Winery, just the other side of Eugene. One of the best Pinot Noirs I've ever had.

My brother in law grew up around Coos Bay, and now splits his time between Vancouver, BC and Seattle. I've definitely got Oregon on my golf radar in the not-too-distant future.

    Welcome aboard!
When applying the Rules, you follow them line by line. You don't read between them.

Lob, thanks for the tip. I'll get out there for sure. A good Pinot is worth the drive.
