moving to ottawa..

Hi everyone I am moving to Ottawa from England in May, looking to join a good tough course and would like to know what the best courses are! Any suggestions?

There are quite a few nice private courses in Ottawa depending on your budget.

There is also an company called Clublink which owns several courses in Ottawa (and others across Ontario and Quebec) which allows you to play all of the courses with a single membership. There may be some fees for the non-home courses depending on what level your home course and there are some tee-time restrictions.

Do you know what part of town you will be living in?

No not yet, should be within 30 mins of the city though n I can see there are a lot of courses within an hour of the city. Clublink sounds like a good idea ill look into it. Thanks!

Good that you are not moving until May. The weather is less than desirable right now.

The Ottawa area is rich with courses. I think everyone will be able to advise you better when you have figured out the location you want to live, unless where you live is determined by the golf course.

haha the weather here too is shockin! my course is always either waterlogged or frozen solid! we have been lookin at a house in knollsbrook, we might be goin for that 1 so hopefully ther'l be some good tracks round there! Il be in ottawa on the 24th of this month for a week anyway so im gunna have a look round some of the clubs.

Gunna have to get used to your guys' handicappin system, its completly different than ours, lookin forward to gettin into all the comps n leagues in the summer. Will have to get together with a few people from this forum n have a knock if anyones up for it?
