Winter Project

A buddy and me started a cool winter project today... We were given an older gas golf cart by a buddy and we are totally refinishing and customizing it. Today we got it dug out of the snow bank and towed over to our shop. It should be fun.. Some of the things we are planning are:

- Repair the engine (at the end of the year the cart wasn't moving)
- Repair and paint the body
- Put a lift kit on the cart
- New rims, steering wheel etc..
- Reapolster the seats...

Yeah I will take some this week before we get going.. We dug it out of the snow today got it to work and washed.. We are pulling the motor next.

You could make the steering wheel out of Cameron pivot tools welded together.

I've been dreaming of getting one of those high-performance side-by-side atvs

& putting turf tires on it & seeing if I can get 18 holes in under 60 minutes.

I think fog lamps, and a hand held spot for those long twi-lite rounds would be helpful.

This is what it looks like now after 2 hours of tearing it apart.. The body is loaded up and off to the body shop for repairs and paint. Also ordered a 4 inch lift kit for it..

Previous and current. Kiwi-Sam looked pretty comfortable in the driver seat there...better not sell the sun mountain cart just yet....

Thanks for the link Colby.. We are buying most of our parts so far from CustomCarts.ca out of Trenton.. Nice to buy them close to home.. Plus our trucks can stop in and grab em.. no shipping!

Have you run the numbers on a karaoke system? It would probably help speed up play. I know I would get off the green a little faster if you were threating to bust out into the chorus of "Hit me Baby, one more time".
