Drop Box or Location to Donate used Clothing

I've been trying to clear out a bunch of stuff that I either don't use or don't wear, and have discovered that I have a large selection of barely touched clothing that was probably purchased under lights of a "60% off the lowest priced tag" sale. Considering the season and the economy, I think it would be a shame to throw it in the trash, but there seems to be a distinct lack of Salvation Army or Goodwill drop boxes around.

Aside from actually driving downtown and having to locate parking to drop it off at a shelter directly, does anyone know an easily accessible used clothing drop box location where I can donate this stuff? Centretown would be preferred.

Even if there isn't anyone on the streets who could fit in my pants, I'm sure they could sew up the legs, put a door on, maybe move in a few small appliances and have a nice little cabin to ride out the winter. **Saving JV some effort

The Salvation Army's National Recycling Operations Depot is at 1280 Leeds Avenue, Ottawa. Captain Wally Watkins can be reached at 247-1435 x 223. The Ottawa Booth Centre is at 171 George Street, Ottawa, in the Byward Market. Donations of goods can be left in their drop box in the parking lot, or at the Front Desk. Contact them at 241-1573 for information and hours of operation.

You can call the Canadian Diabetes Associations's Clothesline national toll-free number at 1-800-505-5525 anytime for a pickup at your home.

I saw this truck yesterday when I was pulling out of Tim Hortons and vowed to remember the website, but then I remembered that I had a double chocolate donut in the bag and that was the end of that.

    Thanks for the info lads.
