Maureen, those are stunning pictures of a beautiful woman. I have a couple of questions. No, Bob, not any question that you might think of.
First, how did you attach the pictures to your post? They appear larger than is normally permitted. Also, what kind of camera are you using?

Thankyou Mike
I attached the pictures using Apple's MobileMe, you just double click on 'copy image location' and put it into the photo attachment on this web site. I actually don't know how to do any other size For some reason the pictures are de-saturating when I post them on there, I need to figure out why they have lost some of their vibrancy.
The camera is a Nikon D300 with a 85 1.4 lens. (My other baby)

Hey Mike, it's basically a link to a picture hosted on another site. To post it here, just take the url/location of the picture and put [ img ] and [ /img ] around it, without the spaces. I have a picture I took of VJ at the PGA this year hosted on photobucket at this url: http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a272/davephin/PGA%20Championship/DSC_1620_Medium.jpg
The shortcut to all of this is to click the little image of the mountain landscape right above the box where you enter your text for a post on here. Paste the url in there and the image automatically imbeds using the image tags.
Now, I slap the image tags around the url and voila.

Hey Maureen---has your daughter expressed any interest in learning the game? I'm with Bob---could not stand that long either---and Diane has already smacked me And NO you can not use it as a new avatar either

Actually she has a real natural talent for it. some people have it all. I took her to the range for the first time a year ago and she was hitting a 7 iron about 90 yds straight off the bat. She is a better putter than me too. (which isn't hard)But she hasn't much interest at this stage. Plus she can't afford it.

By the way guys. I took more pics of her today. I need to process them, but I am really thrilled with them. I will post when I am done. Right now there are loads to do. She is very photogenic, it is hard to take a bad one.
She has gone back to Toronto now

OK, I will keep it about the lens, the first pic looks a little soft to me. Second one is spot on as far as I am concerned, love the catchlights in the eyes.
Also, in keeping with the theme, she is beautful and I am sure you are extremely proud of her.
From a fellow Nikon shooter as well.

Someone's gonna have to send an ambulance to my place, I think I may pass out. You can lose yourself in those eyes, holy toledo.

Hi Michael Yes, I agree it looks a bit soft. I will have to see what I can do. It looks a lot more sharp in RAW I will make sure I didn't mess up the processing somewhat. The focus point is on the eye but not absolutely dead centre in this one. This is shot at 2.8. The second one is at 1.4 and I nailed that one.
I have more (I think even better) to process, but want to learn more in processing as I am not that good yet.
Nice to see a fellow Nikon shooter on here. We have two hobbies in common. Or are you pro?
Yes I am extremely proud of her. She is a vibrant gutsy young woman.

I agree that you nailed the second one. I am not a pro, but have a passion for photography. Many years ago, before the digital age, I did my own developing and that was a lot fun. Just getting back into it again over the past year or so and to keep this on topic a bit, for Christmas I received a set of Elinchrom studio strobes (the BXRi series) and am currently using a Nikon D3 that I take most pics with a 24-70 2.8.
