practice putting greens
looking for an inexpensive practice putting green. Any recommendations?
What about this one at Golftown?

I've got that model. The ball return's a little finicky at times, the carpeting's a bit flimsy, and the electrical chord could be longer... but you get what you pay for. Beats putting on bare carpet/flooring any day.

I've had a look at most of the stuff in stores and it does look a little cheap. Went out and bought a "roll end" from a carpet store, and use two of those foam "wedge" holes from GT. Put it on the basement floor and put down and back to counteract any irregularities in the floor. Boring yes, but put the radio,tv, iPod on and work on my mechanics. I find going and fetching my ball each time helps me ingrain my routine as with the ball return I found I was just keeping my feet in place and being too mechanical. To me it's not just the stroke it's the whole set up... fwiw
