Safety nets
Hi,
I'd like to practice a bit in the basement over winter and need to buy safety nets. I don't really want the practice kits sold by Golftown as I feel I still need more protection, so I'll hang the nets in a cage format, what should prevent me from braking anything
Anyone know where to buy it? I tried Home Depot and Reno Depot in Montreal without success. What kind of store should I be looking for?

I suggest a swimming pool winter cover. It can be cut into strips and placed hanging freely from the ceiling on the side walls and behind your hitting net. When hanging loose they will absorb any stray quite well. Golfworks has very thick tarps instead of a net, you can check with them as well.

hummm I liked the idea of the tarp! Cheap and easy to find.
I'll try it and will keep an eye open for a net in case I find one and in case the tarp is too noisy!

Depending on the thickness of the tarp you may have to double or triple it up leaving an inch or two between them to help absorb the shock of the ball as it is flying at amazing speed from your powerful swing. Dont put the tarps tight as the ball will bounce right off of them, they need to fully absorb the shock.

I have lots of high quality extra netting from the simulators in my old store, send me a message and i'm sure we can work something out, same goes for anyone else! yea, I wouldn't pay for the netting at golf town wayy to expensive, actually come to think of it I could probably get you a hitting mat as well!
