Matching Swing Speed and Shaft Flex
I've been trying for a while and trying to match my swing speed and shaft flex. I know there's no standard shaft flex between companies so I know that a Stiff flex on an Aldila wont match a Stiff flex for a Fujikura. But if someone has some insight into these basic hypotheticals, it might help in a general sense.
Say I have a swing speed that matches a Regular flex but my shaft is actually a light/Senior flex, what is going to happen to my swing (e.g. club face at impact, prone to drawing/fading the ball)?
What would happen if I had the reverse: my swing speed would match me with a Regular flex shaft but I'm using a Stiff shaft. What sort of ball flight and swing effects am I likely to see?
Any insight would be really helpful.
PS - I'm fighting the winter blues with lots of Tiger Woods 09' for playstation. So far so good.
