Is it a full meal plan? Giving you lots of options for different meals?

It’s a 5 meal a day plan and the plan change every 30 days. You can adjust the foods you don’t like.

Thanks to this thread I just had the hardest 1 hour of my life... I'm glad I'm only going to be able to do this for about 3 weeks until surgery to repair some damage in my shoulder.

i've been working out/lifting weights for about 9 years now and tonight was my first p90x (chest & back + abs) and it was the most intense work out i've ever done.

If you're not in shape right now, and you go at your own pace with p90x and dont worry about what the guys on the videos can do (they're in awesome shape) I have no doubts that after 90 days of this, you will be in shape.

Good for you! That work out is awesome and its a real eye opener to how out of shape you really are, especially ab rippper. The only one I really don't like is the yoga. The meals are pretty good as well and I've been making them in batches to make it more convienent.

Keep it up and hopefully more will give it a try.

I started my cycle on it on Monday morning as well. I am keeping a blog type journal to track myself.
Wow, this is one intense set of workouts. Plyometrics was this morning. Ouch!

I bought a combo, P90X program and chin up bar from Ebay. There was a seller from Toronto that had a web store.

He has two copies of the program right now. One of which comes with the chin up bar.

Yup. I can and I did this morning. Thankfully though the lactic acid pain subsides after a couple of hours.

Poly is awesome, especially if you play other sports like hockey. I think the leg and back is one of the toughest. It usually hurts to do everythin a good 2 days after that one and the Ab ripper. That is the only DVD that I am way behind the guys on TV, insane!

I bought mine on the Shopping Channel, but I heard that you can get it at shoppers for like $99, which is a great deal. Chin bar, door type, can be had for 20 bucks at walmart. The dumbbells are the most expensive part. I still think the baby play mats are a get idea for when you need to hit the deck! If anyone is finding that they really sore, don't take the time off unless you are really hurt, do the stretch video sometime before your workout and pound back the protien and recovering drink.

It's good to see so many people doing this workout!

ok yup.. Poly is brutal.... kept up with the guys on the tape though... I guess 20 years of playing hockey summer and winter keeps my legs in shape.... walking 18 once or twice a week probably doesnt help either...

    (is it spring yet?)

want to hear a little trick
drink about an ounce or so of pickle juice before your workout to prevent the lactic acid from building up and causing cramping

Don't think I wil be trying the pickle juice thing! Lots of water and stretching works for me.

shoulders and arms is not as intense as some of the others, but it def works all of the areas. I just dread hitting play on Ab Ripper afterwards. Worst 17 mins or the day!

I totally agree. After one hour of intense workout doing abs is not what I want to do...

well i like pickles myself so i didnt have a problem with it
my problem was i would go to the gym before hockey, and i would be sitting in the dressing room for 30 minutes, the acid would build up and cause cramping as soon as i stepped on the ice
the pickle juice seemed to take care of it, not sure why but it worked for me

anyone looking to sell there p90x after there done with it let me know
i did tooo much weights training since february until now and physically cannot make a full swing, its a 3/4 due to the bulk
id like to increase flexability and loose some of the mass for next season

If you want to lose some bulk just hit the cardio hard. Start using lighter weights with higher reps and do cardio before every work out. I use to workout for an hour and do maybe 20 mins of cardio. When I wanteds to lean up a few years ago, I did almost an hour of cardio and only 30 mins of weights. You can throw in some yoga for flexibility as well.

I second that. Do cardio everywork out (30-45mins) and then do a weight work out. 10-15 reps and only about 30 seconds between sets.. you'll keep the heart rate up and lose some bulk.

i know how to fix that but i never expected to get the big in such a small amount of time
funny thing is i hit the ball the same distance with a 3/4 swing
now imagine if i could do a full swing
anything i noticed that helps alot is find a 10 pound straight bar and practice your golf swing with it if you want to increase your SS
