Monsieur Paré. That's not how you spell englais tabarslac. It is spelled anglish.
So why is the Royal Ottawa named RO when it it is not located in Ottawa and the Gatineau named Gatineau when it is located in Aylmer. Yeah yeah I know Aylmer is now part of Gatineau. So when playoff time comes around I might root for the Montreal senators.

I'm sure he will at some point. It's funny how one comment or thought would create this much attention in this forum. Must because we cant play golf yet. The one thing we ALL have in common. :cryin
I know everyone does not have the same sence of humour, but come on guys, this is the nature of posting a comment without seing the facial expressions, hand gestures and tongue in cheek attitude. I'm pretty sure Mr Upanddown was mearly poking fun you and should not stop using this forum because of this. It's not the first time and wont be the last time this happens.

    Back to the original topic...

Can Gatineau even afford to lose any more land? The last time they lost land, their course turned into an executive course. Hopefully they retain more land than they lose to bring the course back up to par.

That part of the land is originally owned buy the city. Gatineau was/is renting the land.

I can't see where they could possibly add holes. Maybe next to what is now #1 (formerly #10) and between #2 on the left? Then another one maybe down the side of #5 (hard dogleg right) on the outside left?

Just seems like there's not enough space to replace entire holes....

Yeah, that's where they would do it. Although they could easily add a par 3 next to #10 by the road (old #1) and beside the old #17 next to Loblaws if they were in a pinch. OTOH, it would be nice if they put actual GRASS in the fairways - then it would play like a REAL golf course!

I certainly don't want to say anything bad about that course. My partner and I enjoy starting and ending our season there because of the extreme forgiveness. It would be nice to see them maximize their layout. There's some especially long holes that don't need to be that long that could make for a new par 3.

There's some potential in that course, but they should at least hire someone to mow the lawn periodically, and maybe at different lengths. (J/K)

I met Mike the guy who operate the restaurant and he told me that nothing was official about the changes, and they haven't received anything yet from the city or others.................chip.

No, they have more land out back behind what is now 2, 3, 4 and 5 tee.

So behind (left) the 5th hole's fairway? Other than there, and left of #2, there's houses everywhere around the course at that corner.
