2008 NCGT season comes to an end
The 2008 NCGT Season is over and we have our 7th Tour Champion.
Congratulations to Jason Labelle. Jason continued with his steady play and came up with enough points to hold off all the others to become our 2008 NCGT Tour Champion. Jason finished with 281 points and kept a 7 point lead over George Lemoine who came in 2nd place with 274 points. Congrats to Craig Reynolds - 3rd place with 264 pts, Steve Karam - 4th place with 262 pts and Steph Abrecht rounding off the top 5 with 261 pts.
As for the season closing event. The longest losing streak in our 7 year NCGT history ended yesterday. I finally won an event.
This would end my impressive 77 events played losing streak. I managed to pick up 43 points with 3 guys trailling by one point at 42 points. Those 3 would be Matt Benson, Jeff Gray and David Francey. Finally that monkey is off my back.
Thanks to all the members for coming out as much as they did this season. We broke our yearly atendance record by 63 player rounds (408 player rounds in 2008 --- 345 in 12 events in 2004).
And lastly, we all survived our first season with Indio making his debut season on tour. Hey, he does exist, and that Bob is also a nice guy too.

I have the dubious distinction of being the only NCGT Member being DQ'ed in 2008
I will wear the DQ label with pride 'Stevie'
On a more serious note, Thanks for your hard work in setting up the regular tour events and putting together the special side events Steve. People may think that after 7 years its a nobrainer to do but getting people to sign up on time so you can guarantee numbers the week before is not an easy thing! Then there is the last minute cancellations.... You are a good man Charlie Brown and we all really appreciated your efforts! (even if we did crap on you all year long!)
Thanks Steve, and I will definitely be there next year to keep Little Brit and Iron Maiden in line!Proud member of the 2009 OG/TGN Ryder Cup Champions

Glad to be a witness to your first win Steve - you did it old school yesterday, slow and steady and very quietly had a great round while playing with Jeff who had 3 birds and an eagle (and a few others ;-))- which was a sight to see.
Thanks to your organizing skill and dealing with all of our shenanigans. You run a smooth tour and although your efforts probably feel unappreciated, we really appreciate all your hard work. We know its not easy though you make it appear so.
Looking forward to 2009 and hopefully playing a few more events.I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

PS: Who did the Spell-Check for you on this posting??
No Back is easily the worst typer/speller I have ever seen!!!
To all the NCGT Tour, cheers until next Spring's Opener.

Thank you gentlemen.
Get your calendars out, you could expect another one in 2015 late in the season
It was another good year. Lots of good memories, and many shots to brag about as well as laugh about.
