I've been telemarketer free since Feb when we switched to Primus. They have a service called Telemarketer Guard which blocks all those calls as well.
Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!

I said Thanks, but you don't have a monopoly anymore so bugger off and oh yeah, please add me to you do not call list - the kid on the other end says "Do not call list - What's that"........I've reported Bell

do you get telemarketers calling your cell? I've never had one call my cell and I would go gorilla on them if they did seeing as your paying for airtime.
btw, it kind of surprised me that you can just put in any number, e.g. your neighbours and there is little verification required. Not that anyone would mind getting less telemarketing calls i think.I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

Thanks I am now on.
I am working my way out of a home phone but we are used to it. Most of the calls are TM so I don't even answer if I don't know the number anymore.

The DNC list does not cover telemarketers from outside Canada where many of the calls are increasingly coming from. The "telemarketer guard" type systems offer the best shot at shutting out the interruptions. Also there are a few exceptions you may want to be aware of ie if you have an existing business relationship.

Well, if you've gotten approved already without doing anything, you might as well take the extra card, don't concern yourself with the 28% interest rate every month.
We've signed up on the DNCL as well and while I was off on Friday, it seems like the telemarketers are flooding the phone lines trying to get at everyone. It's a good idea for this list, but I wonder how effective it will be with all of the exemptions, and I hope that my junk mail doesn't increase now.
