Congrats Foddz!
I could not let the today go by without congratulating Foddz on his out of body magnificent 84 yesterday, which I believe beat his previous personal best by almost a dozen strokes. This miracle was witnessed by myself, 6 wood and LuckyLuc at La Cite in Hawkesbury. This was his first time breaking 100 at La Cite in 10 or so attempts and boy did he break it
Great golf Jonathan! Keep up the practicing! The opinions expressed in this post are mine and may not necessarily reflect the opinions of others on OG.

Way to go Foddz!!
When applying the Rules, you follow them line by line. You don't read between them.

Foddz now knows what being in the zone is like. The hole looks pretty big.

Thanks all! It truly was a red letter day... I'm still in disbelief myself!
It was my first round under 100 at La Cite, first round under 90 (that was my goal for next year!), first round without taking more than a double-bogey on any hole, first round only taking a single penalty stroke in 18 holes, and one of only a handful of birdies I've had all year... all in all a fantastic round!
Between the new-to-me driver, the brand-new-to-me irons, and the few old-to-me clubs still in the bag fearing for their lives (their time is coming...), I would have to say my clubs are all working pretty darned well for me. The few bad shots I hit ended up playable or at least recoverable, given good course management, and the few times I got aggressive, it paid off big.
Talk about a way to close out the season. Next step is to make scores like this a regular occurrence!Wannabe Golf

Once you break a bubble... scores start to tumble. Well done.

Thanks again! Its a pretty incredible feeling, especially not having expected it at all.
It makes me think a lot of problems with my game have been mental blocks and not physical ones - my mental approach that day was to just step up and hit it without really thinking about what I was doing. I can honestly say I've never hit the ball better I kept waiting for my typical blow-up hole, especially on 16,17,18 (those holes are beasts at La Cite!) but grinded out bogeys on all of them and it never came.Wannabe Golf

I attribute your success to fear of your playing partners, I know they don't take poor play silently. congrads.

The innumerable tidbits of advice that Reid, Garth, and Luc have imparted have certainly helped, and I thank them for that. A couple of lessons with Gregg Foley in August made the biggest difference though. That man is a savant!

Excellent job Jonathan !!! Keep up the great work, as it does pay off to keep "chipping" away at the end goal !!!!
