Pfft, you've owned many other Scottys. I know this, because I've ended up purchasing most of them from you.

Yeah, well i've owned a Futura and a looong time ago I owned a studio style for a very short lived amount of time. I'm hoping this one will stick as i've fallen back in love with blade style putters. Now I just need to grab some heavy weights for it.

Recently became a Scotty owner as well. Didn't really believe the hype until I read Utley's Short Game book which strongly recommended the Anser/Newport style putters. So I went from a center shafted NC to an NC Milled Series #1. Then one day tried the SS Newport 2 and putting never felt more smooth and natural for me. Expensive as hell but surely worth it.

Are all Newport 2's the same shape, weight and balance?

No, most weigh 330g, but there are a few NP2s that are 340g and 350g. The new Select NP2s have a slightly different head shape (shorter blade length, a bit wider, and a higher toe) than previous NP2s and are widely available in 340g, 350g and 360g head weights.
