Left Hander who plays right

I am a natural lefty who plays golf (and hockey) right (along Johnny Miller, Bobby Jones and Ben Hogan). I bat in baseball left. For some reason, everything I do above the waist (sports wise) is left and under the waist is right. It feels natural for me to swing this way and, using the Mike Weir/Jack Nicklaus story as ammo, I have continued doing so.

I recently took a refresher lesson and the instructor basically told me that I should absolutely play left. Of course, I am not going to reinvent my slice or buy new clubs and will probably not go back to him again.

Any comments?

I play hockey left, baseball right and golf right. I throw right and do everthing else right. I think the baseball and golf swing are somewhat similar, just different planes while hockey is entirely different. I'm not convinced there is any rhyme or reason for this, other than do what comes naturally.

What was he basing that on? Sounds like bull to me. If you're comfortable right, do it right.
