Good Stores for New or Used Golf Equipment in Ottawa/Montreal?
I am very interested in finding a good store to purchase mid to high end new or used golf clubs. Can anyone tell me possible places to look in the Ottawa area. I live on the west side of Montreal and have no problem traveling to the Ottawa area.

im not sure about stores, but a friend had some
good results by checking with some private
courses..iue huntclub..eagle creek etc..
u know the ones that charge big bucks to join..
it seems that the members there have money to spend and like to have the best stuff, so there seems to be more high end equipment for sale at these type of clubs..
it cant hurt to try..call and see what thier members are selling and you could be surprised

is this a trick question...?
I'm guessing you already know about Chuck Browns, Tommy and Lefebvre, Nevada Bob's. They're in the book.
I wanted a good place to go looking for new gear, too. The thing about high end gear is that any place that sells it new has to sell under the agreements of the mother companies (Titleist, Callaway, TM, Ping, Cleveland, Wilson, on and on). It's virtually impossible to pay less than the mfr's suggested street prices. I was surprised, though, that Chuck Brown's and T&L are both willing to bargain given the right circumstances.
Also, Chuck Brown's has a huge inventory of used clubs. Some models don't stay around long, but I've heard many people who've bought their used clubs from Chuck's that were very rare finds. You may have to be a bit patient if you're VERY specific in what you want, but eventually, it comes on the market, even in this corner of the golfing world.
As for buying the perfect set of clubs, you might want to check the thread on ...putt for dough, and ...ruckus about shafts. Gary and natgolfer both have good leads on getting the right sticks into your hands.

Some good shops in Ottawa are Chuck Brown's, T & L, Missing Links, ProGolf Discount, you might want to check the private golf course "Hunt Club", the proshop is pretty cheap compared to the rest. Chuck's is the better one out of the stores.
Chuck Brown
T&L
Pro Golf
Hope these help.
