    Pimped My Putter

Ok here it is, what could be the official grip of the 2008/09 Stanley Cup Champions when June rolls around

The Sharks lost their first game at home yesterday - the exact same day GB posted the pics of his pimped-out putter!
Coincidence? Probably, but if the Sharks lose their next home game I think there's just got be a correlation - the putter grip is somehow causing a losing vortex to hover around the Sharktank.
If so, would you mind switching to a Leafs putter grip, or would that cause a burning sensation on your hands?

At this point in the hockey season I would be ashamed to put an Ottawa Sens grip on my putter. Looks cool. How are those grips? Do they feel the same as a regular grip?

Why the Sharks you ask? Simple, I am a Sharks fan. Hence the Sharks grip. I am also a big fan of Joe Thornton. Hometown boy, watched him play JR B as a 15 year old. Know him personally, I played some golf with him last summer.

The loss at home has nothing to do with the putter grip It's a loss. plain and simple. I am sure all Sens fans know what I am talking about

The only item with anything related to maple leafs is the Canadian flag head cover I have on my putter. There will never be any item closely related to the Maple Leafs in my golf bag.

And do you really think the Maple Leafs need to be jinxed? Battle of Ontario to continue to see which team can be the worse over all this season!

Sens fans look at it this way. Keep sliding down the standings and maybe you can get in the lottery for the #1 Draft Pick this year

I assume this is the same grip I had on my putter although I had a Canada flag under it...It felt fine as far as putter grips go.

The grip consists of the underlay sticker and a clear rubber grip.

The sticker goes on first. The grip has to be installed using hairspray.

It feels ok to me. Maybe not quite as big as I would like it to be.

But it will draw some looks on the greens this spring. Especially when one of the members is a member of the Sharks

Are you talking about the Union course in St Thomas? My grandfather was a long time member there. Beautiful course.

That’s very cool. I’m always curious when I hear about people that are fans of far away teams like the Sharks. Especially when they can’t watch most if any of their games. So I gather you were a Bean town fan before a Sharks fan.

They have a great team this year, now lets just see if Joe can get that monkey off his back and play like he should during the playoffs.

    Boston Fan? PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

No, I was a Sharks fan before was traded to San Jose. Best move Boston made in a long time But things have worked out well in Beantown too, they are having a good season (although some say in a weaker division)

Pinhsark, yes that is the course down in Union, STG&CC. Still as beautiful and even tougher than it was years ago!

Hey GB... good job. I would love to see Joe's face when he sees this putter.

All you can hope now is the Sharks to go all the way...
If you think it's hard to meet new people, try picking up the wrong golf ball.

Well I might not see Joe until the end of June, if you know what I mean

The grip could be worn out by then! Maybe I should use my back up putter until he gets back home , April, May & June, 3 months with the back up flat stick!

OK, I thought you were a Joe fan more then a Shark fan. What made you a Shark fan before Joe was acquired?

Before the Sharks you were a fan of?

Gee Rick, I think that is pretty much assured now that they have Lemieux in the lineup!

Amazing this story of Lemieux. You know I think he can be a real asset of the Sharks when the playoffs start. Even if he does not get a lot of shifts his influence in the dressing room and on the bench could prove to be very valuable.

Four Stanley Cups, the man knows how to win and what it takes.

Plus if they end up against Detroit in the West finals Maltby might show up with a full cage on his bucket
