How do you afford / justify the iPhone? What's your monthly bill? Is it paid for by your company or is it out of your own pocket? I can't see how I could justify it as a personal play toy - I'd love to have one, but isn't it outrageous?

I got in on the $30/month for 6GB of data deal (I've only used 178MB of data in the 2 months that I have the phone and I consider myself to be a pretty heavy user). To this I add my $17/month corporate plan that gives me 300 anytime minutes, voicmail, caller id, number display, free evenings and free weekends and it ends up costing me just over $50/month after taxes and system access fee.

I had an LG shine with a bunch of multi-media options so after I canceled all of those my iPhone ended up costime less then $7/month more than what I was paying........I'm worth $7/month

    .............Shut up Indio!!!

It comes with three silky stripped shirts, white dress shoes, aviator sunglasses, and a bottle of overpriced european hair-gel. You also get access to personalized accessories for your baby blue Hummer H2.

    Awesome!!

Can I give the hair-gel to Indio or is that frowned upon??

I'd offer him the personalized accessories for the Hummer (or in his case a hummer wannabe) but in his case a license plate that says "Ima Idiot" seems like over kill.

Can't wait for the white shoes and silky shirts I'll be Stylin'

Any GPS based caddy apps out there yet? I'm considering an iPhone, and something like that would most certainly push me that direction

Egad, $50 per month for a phone still sounds like a lot of coinage. I'm getting cheaper as every year passes. It's a lovely phone though. $600 per year baby!

But I'm looking at an iPhone. If I wanted a Blackberry, I'd have one by now.

I spend a lot of hours sitting at hockey rinks and soccer fields whilst my boys participate.....I've always had a "smart phone" of some description that I can use to surf the web, do email etc. etc. Now I have the BEST smart phone to do all of this. I realize that $50/month is steep for some, I find it easily justified in my situation
