club fitting?
Hi guys,
I started picking up golf a little more seriously this year, and in May I bought a starter's set from Sportchek. I chose the Top Flite HCT Tour set. Anyways, when I played with a more experienced golfer, he seemed to think that my clubs were a little too short for me. I'm 6'3", so I'm not sure what height they generally design these clubs for. And here come the questions... Is it worth it to get them fitted at this point (still early in the learning process)? Where would you recommend getting this done, and how much would it cost (6I-SW, 3/4 hybrid, 1/3/5W, putter)?
Thanks!

I'm not sure I would recommend custom fitting a starter set. You would be better off starting from scratch with a quality set of OEM clubs or components. If you are ready for custom fitting you are ready for non starter clubs.
My second recommendation would be to not listen to advice from most of the 'more experienced golfers' that you happen to be paired with
That said, your clubs might be too short, heck they might be too long if you have really long arms and short legs for your heightThe opinions expressed in this post are mine and may not necessarily reflect the opinions of others on OG.
