    Bobby Eldridge

I know this guy Chief, I have been a member of his online Purepoint Golf Academy for over a year. My short game has iimpoved greatly with his video clips. I also use his stance guide. He is very informative and very concise.

Inconsistency is generally a product of the mental rather then the physical game. Wavering concentration, mental alertness (playing after a stressful day at the office), over-thinking your golf shots...all contribute to being inconsistent. One of my students has a problem with the last one, thinking too much when he gets over the ball. It causes him to hit shots fat or thin where he's normally a really good ballstriker. His cure - "shut up and swing". That's his final swing thought! It seems to work for him.

Played today, it was slow so I when waiting I used this drill without a ball: just two or three swings.

It was a big help especially with the long irons.

    Hi Reza, go to http://purepointgolf.com

On that site he is introducing himself as Bobby Eldrige, the head Professional at Starfire Golf Club in Pheonix AZ, that's the dude I told you to go see when you were there. Also if you Google Video Purepoint golf you will see many other clips from him where he says his name is Bobby.

Weird. Maybe he has an alias like me In any case that is the same guy who I learned from in his online lessons, whatever his name is!! Maybe he is on AMW!

It certainly works according to my P3. Hit a draw, no loss of swing speed, and better distance. Not sure how this will engrain in the brain though as it is so different then a usual setup.

Interesting drill. No doubt that it will encourage the right shoulder to stay put, rather than come out, in the downswing. However, from the video, it also seems to encourage the rapid, premature extension of the right elbow and rolling over of the hands, neither of which would be helpful.

A drill that keeps the arms/right shoulder from coming out at the transition, and one that keeps the lead wrist FLAT and the right wrist BENT through impact, will quickly lead to better ball striking.

Casting is mostly the result of poor setup, tempo and timing, which result in incomplete turns and arms only backswings resulting in no connection with the ground at the top so the only way to get the club going is yanking it over the top. The point of less thoughts is a good one.
