womens open on sportsnet (two thumbs down)
i just have to say i hope sportsnet never does another golf production, it had to have been the most boring, unprofessional golfing event i've ever seen. it looked and sounded like a local public channel production for a high school event or something. i was at the event on wednesday and was looking forward to watching it on tv. i ended up watching about the last hour today and that was it. the announcers were boring and the picture quality was horrible. i tuned in at 430 today and they were showing a 13-5 (or something like that) blowout by the blue jays right down to the bitter ending. please sportsnet stay away from golf.

I have to agree. The production value was beyond bush league.
The Golf Channel must be shaking their heads because they are picking up the raw feed. Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!

I agree. I watch at bit last night on the Golf Channel and they were showing the Sportsnet feed. The picture quality was so poor.
Glad i saw it live today!

Maybe it was the poor production techniques that made Yani Tseng look like a member of the PGA.
Someone needs to take her under their wing and show her how to dress like a woman.
She can play, she needs to be dressed better
Sportsnet, what a joke. Rob Faulds as commentator? Who is Rob Faulds?
No wonder I lost interest in the coverage and watched the PGA coverage.

I will agree that it's not very clear, but on HD it is a lot better.
I also think that the male commentator sucks...BUT>>>>
You should have been there in PERSON!!!
It was amazing.... all these girls can hit really straight and accurate.
I was following Wie on her front nine and it her first drive 310!
And the ending was great...
By the way.. I drove Katerine Hull to the course on Thursday.. she is so nice!!!
Should have been there... so much better seeing it in your own eyes!Bite, Bite!

Unfortunately, when you cover only one golf event per year, and spend the rest of the time doing baseball and hockey, the production values will suffer. They should have brought in TGC from day one. No wonder Judy Rankin was walking around all week with a scowl on her face.
When applying the Rules, you follow them line by line. You don't read between them.

We actually noticed that at the course today. there were sportsnet guys running all over the place from hole to hole. they looked unorganized and not sure what was going on. I didnt think much of it but I laugh now realizing the poor job they did. None of them ever looked settled.
What a great day though. That was my first event I have ever been 2.
Now im dying to go see a PGA event
