wrong shaft ??
Good afternoon
went to nevada bobs the other day to try out some different drivers.
apparently i hit them roughly the same distance, as the taylor made i own.
I hit my driver from 129 mph to 146 mph.the shaft is a stock fujikura hyperlite xl flex R.
I find i allways start my drive straight but it soon starts heading right .
if i slow down my drive i hit it straight. not as long, and no im not tring to kill the poor ball. just wondering if there is to much flex in my shaft.
im R H
i would appreciate any advice.
Thanks

your SS is 129?
try an X or the fuji 350 S shaft

I think those are ball speeds.
As to whether or not the shaft is too flexible that may or may not be the cause of the slice. Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!

i was going to say
it should be a no brainer that a reg would be to weak
i slice low bend shafts and block mid bends and draw high bends
maybe just try different kickpoints in both R and S and see what works for you

You can get your clubhead speed measured by radar or a launch monitor.
Clubhead speed isn't the only way to determine flex. There are quite a few very strong players that play very soft shafts. For me, feel is the most important factor.
Also, the way you swing, i.e. smooth with constant acceleration or quick with a hard transition, can be more important in choosing the right shaft. Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!

i know that those speeds are ballspeed, and that your swingspeed is approximately 75% of that number. nevada bob's does have trained fitters, and a Nike driver fitting system that has many different shaft options with different flexes and kick points to experiment with

Thanks davo i went to see them yesterday. I bought my callaway irons there and went in for a fitting. turns out i'm one of the lucky of the rack kinda guy.
5 foot 7 inches 33.5 wtf. so im good to go. im having a stiff shaft installed, and my sc shortened. wich i also bought there. they told me i had a year after purchase, to be fitted. All & All good experiance with those gentelmen. I will continue to use their friendly services.
