    Energy Drinks...

Do any of you drink these? What are your favourites? I have maybe one or two a week, depending on my schedule. My favourite is the Mountain Dew Amp. The taste of some of these just turns me off of them.

I enjoy some Bawls every now and then - the only energy drink I've had that tastes good.

Bawls? I've never heard of it. Can you pick it up locally?

It's popular among computer gamers - I've seen it at 7-11's and various computer/video game oriented stores. I haven't seen any since I moved to Ottawa, but I imagine there must be somewhere you can get some.

I actually tried Red Bull for the first time a couple of weeks ago and I wasn't really fond of it. But the worst tasting drink I've tried so far is the NOS energy drink. Just terrible, and it smells so strong as well.

I found Red Bull very metallic tasting. Maybe it was just my kidneys shutting down?

Stay away from rockstar mocha! GROSS!! but if you're really looking for a good ''rush'' or boost try the canadian brand ''Beaver Buzz'' or even those little tiny bottles '5 hour energy''. I used to work in direct marketing so I've had lots of experience with them

As a good poker tactic, I drink one before I start playing. If I have an empty stomach, my hands shake so much when I put chips in the pot people think I'm bluffing. It works great.

I've had a purple gatorade mixed with vodka, I think it was called a bobby-d (named after its creator I believe) It was fairly horrible.

I don't classify Gatorade, or vodka, as an energy drink. But I could see that tasting quite horrible.

You just gave up on it too early. I like to order them 4 at a time and make one a double as a surprise.

I like Full throttle (owned by Coke) ... the original one anyways ... the new flavours are nasty.

every now and then I have a full throttle tropical if its a busy day at work. this gets me going pritty good for a couple of hours with little "crash" at the end! A few others I have tried have made me feel worse then I was before I drank it when the initial boost goes away.

Red Bull and the 5-hour energy drinks work the best. I drink them while I'm on my way to jobs that are a 15 hour drive away. They keep me alert.

Ok now I'm an expert on this subject! LOL

1st for me is NOS. Nothing to do with taste just the way it works. Never take more then 1 of these.

2nd is Red Bull got use to it being the only one we hold at the bar. Try it with Jack Daniels....it's dangerous.

3rd Rock star Mocca LIGHT or some6thing like that. Better then the Mocca.

4th Amp. It's also my sons favorite.

The 5 hour and 8 hour little bottles do work. I prefer the 8 hour it doesn't have as bad of a crash after the time is up.

If you workes over 200 hours in the last 3 weeks, laying tiles and working Fri -Sat at the bar you would be an expert aswell.

As for the NOS, you feel it from the very first sip. It also has 3 times the amount of Caffeine then 1 large Red Bull.

Make sure that you know not to take more then 1000mg of Caffeine a day. That's what my doctor told me so I'm now down from 12 coffes a day to 2 extra large Tim's and 1 or 2 Nos. Yeh my heart is still ticking....for the time being!
Bad days golf, better then a good days work!

Fruits and nuts. Or a great berry smoothie (homemade).

If I have one of those energy drinks, I won't be able to move the day after.

I eat chocolate covered coffee beans when I need more boost throughout the day than my morning coffee(s).

Fruit smoothies are the best for your health. That's for sure. But hard to find those is corner stores. Chocolate doesn't cut it for me anymore.

Try Arthur's, they are fantastic and the best for you next to homemade. The Green Energy is so good for you it's silly!

Well, one of the guys on my landscaping crew swears by Rockstar (the ones that look like a paint can). But, having watched him on them, I wouldn't recommend them. He gets incredibly hyper, and they seem to be pretty addictive. He's gone from none to 2-3 per day in a matter of two weeks. The scary thing is, the can says the maximum recommended dose per day is 500 mL. The can is over 700 mL. Go figure.
