CN Womens Open
Anyone know when they normally post round 1 and 2 starting times for players?

Pairings
John,
In case you're not familiar -- there is a Monday qualifier where there are 4 spots open. So, I'm thinking that the final pairings for rounds 1 and 2 may not be posted until after the qualifier...
There may be something in the newspaper ---
Cheers,Thanks for the screen-time.

The starting/pairing times are available Wednesday at www.cncanadianwomensopen.com and for Saturday and Sunday they will be posted 1 hour after the conclusion of Friday's round.

Got an e-mail through my Sens account manager for deluxe Ottawa Senators suite passes on the balcony overlooking the 9th green and 15th hole par-3.
However, its $525, per day (for 2 people)!

I got my hands on Champions club tickets for saturday and have access to the 18th fairway sky box. Really looking forward to it. Anybody else have these tickets?

I just got back from the practice round and it was pretty dead there with the exception of the little crowd following Wie, and the people gathered around the putting green and driving range.
Those girls don't miss many fairways. Lots of smooth swings out there.Let's put a Smile on that Face!

There were "many more" than 20-30 around the putting green when Annika was there........even more people arrived when Paula joined her on the green.
Did you see the mob scene when Annika was trying to leave the putting area for the practice range.......There had to be at least 30 people within 15 feet of her all surrounding her and holding out hats, programs.........Paula even stopped putting, turned around and watched the mob scene for about 30 seconds......

Was very suprised that many people either left or did not know Annika was teeing off #1 about an hour later. It was a good sized crowd, but I expected to see a much larger crowd at the first tee."So many moving parts. Your whole body's moving, and this ball is not moving. It's standing still, laughing at you." Tiger Woods

I had the third green staked out and there were only 40 or so following her. But it was pretty late so I assume that she ended up collecting just about everyone along the course on her way. She was nice, and was signing stuff. Her only request was that we keep moving towards the next tee box.

Pro-am caddie
I showed up at 7 am this morning and just missed the caddie selection by 2 bags..
Good news, I'm on the top of the list for Noon outings..if things goes right, will be in Ochoa's group.. Luckily I live a few block away, home for next hour and heading back. Can't wait, and hope for the good weather is aft..

He's one lucky dude for sure.. I got Helen Alfredsson's group... very nice lady, and chatty with the group. She signed my Canada hockey cap and even mentioned they are the second best team in the world next to Sweden!!
Folks, if you even has an opportunity to volunteer or caddy for the pro tournamens in the future. Do it!! Being inside the rope was an amazing experience

Well, the bad news is that they didn't keep to the schedule so I didn't get the Ochoa group.
But wait! The good news is that I ended up with the Kane, Alfredson, Gulbis group.
Definitely one of the most followed groups of the day for obvious reasons.
I have to agree with the who writes for the Sun, Gulbis is definitely hotter in person than on TV. Seriously. I was actually surprised that she looked that good.
From a golfing point of view, she is quite short off the tee but very straight. She has a great attitude on the course though. Happy/positive all day, even after making bogey, and was the only golfer in the group to talk to the volunteers during the round.
From a marketing point of view the LPGA should be happy they have golfers like her, Ochoa, and Creamer. Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!

So I'm walking off the course to go home Friday around noon. Michelle Wie was in the press area signing things. So, I pulled off my cap, waiting for her to sign it, and she skips right over me, signs a bunch more stuff, and RELUCTANTLY comes back to sign the brim.
Gotta love making her autograph a hat from her former putter supplier.
Alena Sharp was nice enough to sign, too, but with her Cammie Fastback CT, she didn't hesitate.

anyone know the best places to watch the action? I have access to the skybox on the 18th fairway but I'd rather have a close up view of them putting and teeing off.

The best place to see if you want close up action is to follow the golfers you're interested in. There is a set of stands set up on the first tee, but they are first come first serve, so I imagine they will be filled up by 7:30. Same goes for around the 18th and other locations.

Can I sneak a liitle point and shoot digital camera in with me this weekend or are these forbidden? The tickets say no cameras, but all tickets say that.
