Arundel & Carling Lake reviews
Got a 3-day golf/poker trip starting tomorrow.
Anybody know either of these courses up the Quebec side??

I haven't played Carling Lake in years but it used to be one of my favourites. The course is cut out of the mountain forest with some very tricky and usually very fast greens. If they have kept it up you will enjoy it.
Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!

Indeed it was a treat to play. The forecast had lots of cancellations so our two groups had a big part of the course to ourselves.
Very nice, challenging narrow (VERY) fairways, tight doglegs & fast, undulating elevated greens. Tough challenge, never had a level putt all day.
Recommended to anybody in the area. Weekends after 11.30 it drops to $50, cart included. Carts are mandatory due mostly to the long streches to the next green.
++++
Arundel was nice too but nothing like Carling Lakes, more a typical cottage country course.

How were the conditions at Carling Lake? I played there last year and the course was in terrible shape.
