Scotty questions?
How can you tell which year a putter was built in? Is there any difference between a newport 2 from 2005 vs 1999?? In terms of specs? value??

The model line will tell you approximately the year built. Since 1999 there have been Newport 2s in the Oil Can, Terrylium, Pro Platinum, Studio Stainless, Studio Style and Studio Select model lines. There are also some variations within these that can help you pin it down further. What putter is it that you want to pinpoint?

Nah, the Studio Stainless models are worth the same no matter the year produced. That one's a 350g head though, right? Those are worth more than the regular 330g models. Value is based on condition mostly.

Some others can have differences from one year to the next (TeI3 line changed the engravings and added elastomer around the insert, the Circa line went from gun blue to a plated finish, etc.), but not the Studio Stainless line. It's basically the same in each model year. The only difference was the first year of production had different paintfill than subsequent years.
As to the most popular model, if you mean head shape, probably the Newport 2 model because of Tiger. The Newport would be a close second.

As far as I know 34" does not have a 350g head unless someone has re-shafted it or put an extension in it.
33"-350g
34"-340g
35"-330g
