When it comes to majors, I think Norman already knows anything can happen... unfortunately.
He definitely got the better end of the draw today. I'm not getting my hopes up that his good form will continue for 3 more days but... what a hell of a story if he does!

Can you imagine the how embarrassed the R&A would be if "OLD GREG NORMAN" went on to win the 137th Open Championship. My god, that would be the worst thing that could happen in professional golf wouldn't it?
I mean with all those young flat belly players out there struggling along at +5 and upwards after day one and there is The Shark cruising along at even par.
The good thing would be, in some peoples mind is the fact that Norman doesn't have a GUT.My opinions are my own, I do not follow others.

I'm not trying to bust anyone's balls here, just having a bit of fun.
I really believe that if KP was not looking at the Ryder Cup being played on his home turf this year, he might have put the majors on his schedule instead. IMO, he really wants to play in front of his home crowd, and he really wants to prove Azinger wrong, and he's probably taking the best route to get that done. The odds of him qualifying for another one that would be played in Kentucky, especially at his age, are most likely zilch. When applying the Rules, you follow them line by line. You don't read between them.

I think this thread is getting off topic, but KP's Ryder Cup spot is assured... he's in the four hole now Ryder Cup points standings wise.

Usually there's an obscure 'wildcard' player or two in the mix on Sunday (VandeVelde, Lawrie etc.) any speculation as to who it might be this year? I'll say Ross Fisher. Whoever he is.
