ball landing on another ball? what to do
i know that if u hit someone elses ball on the green then you play yours where it lies and the person whos ball you hit gets to put theres where is originally was
now today a guys ball was on the front on the green on the fairway, i hit my chip hoping it would take a hop on the green and roll near the hole and my ball landed on top of his sending his on the green a few feet from the pin
my ball virtually stayed where his ball was and his ball landed where mine should have
now what do we do?
i assume i play mine where it lies but what about his?
does he play it where it lies or does he put it back?

The same rule as for the ball on the green (18-5) applies, i.e. the ball that was moved is replaced.

ok now i have also played in a tournament where it was a par 4, a kid hit a drive and the next kid hit his drive and it landed on that first ball
one ball shot left, one ball shot right
they were instructed to play as it lies
does the first players ball get replaced and the second player hits it where it lies?
or was the ruling correct
my dad told us today that he also was in a tourny and there was 3 balls on the green on a par 3 and his shot landed on one of the balls and the same thing happend
same ruling in both these cases?

The ruling you were given was incorrect.
18 Ball at Rest Moved
18-5. By Another Ball
If a ball in play and at rest is moved by another ball in motion after a stroke, the moved ball must be replaced.
Life dinnae come wit gimmies so yuv got nae chance o' gitt'n any from me.

Both of the situations you described are covered under 18-5. The wording is pretty specific.
