They blew the horn to get off the course but I kept playin in the dark..hcp?

They blew the horn to get off the course but I kept playing in the dark. Had I stopped on that hole I would have had to take a 5... but instead I parred it, can I count the par? What if I had a 6?? It was a 4 for and the 9th hardest hole.. 19.7 handicap

    thanks boys

6-8b. Procedure When Play Suspended by Committee

When play is suspended by the Committee, if the players in a match or group are between the play of two holes, they must not resume play until the Committee has ordered a resumption of play. If they have started play of a hole, they may discontinue play immediately or continue play of the hole, provided they do so without delay. If the players choose to continue play of the hole, they are permitted to discontinue play before completing it. In any case, play must be discontinued after the hole is completed.

Sorry, I can't answer. If you are asking about a RoG then your score is invalid because you didn't complete the stipulated round. But I suspect your problem is with the RCGA handicap system.

Courses usually don't blow a horn because it's dark... usually it's for your own safety due to lightning in the area... so if it wasn't in a tournament, you just may have been taking your life into your own hands, so I think it can count against your handicap.

Mis-read you post... you clearly mentioned that you kept playing in the dark - and not that it was the cause of the horn going off...
