15 Clubs - Declaring one out of play
Can you, be it intentional or unintentional, carry 15 clubs but prior to starting your round, declare one club to not be used?
This may sound strange, but I switch from one day to the next which putter I plan on using. I'd like to warm up on the practice green and figure out which putter has the day's mojo, and just go with that putter. It would save me a walk back to the car to return the putter I won't be using.
On the other hand, if I compared strictly kilojoules spent:
a) walking to the car and back to return the putter
b) walking 4.5 hours up and down hills carrying extra putter.
It might be worth the trip to the car.
