    Favour to Ask

Wondering if I could get some help. I've got a friend of a friend coming into town and he wants to golf this weekend. Problem is, he didn't feel like packing up the golf gear. I was wondering if anyone had a set of irons (make and model doesn't matter, preferably steel, flex isn't all that important) and a couple of wedges in a bag to borrow for about a week or so. I assure you he is a good golfer, so the safety of your equipment shouldn't be an issue. If anyone could help out it would be greatly appreciated. Please pm if you can help. Thanks.

Geoff, I can help you out during the weekdays but not on the weekend except perhaps Sat the 11th. Let me know if that works. He can have his pick of Cally's or Titleist's. Drivers and woods are all TM.

Thanks Jeff, I'll keep it in mind. I'm still not sure about the rest of the week, but he wants to play Sunday for sure. I'll take it one day at a time for now.

I'm in the wrong end o' town (near Conroy & Walkley), but I have a set of Ping Zing blue dot 3-SW steel shaft + a titleist 60* lob that you could use if you need 'em. I find myself astonished that Geoff "The Other Golf Town" Johnston has only 1 set of irons?

Shocking I know. But contrary to what many think, what I have in my bag is usually all I have on hand. Thanks for the offer DS, I'll let you know what happens.

Geoff, just do what you usually do, buy a set, use it for a week and sell it for less at the end of the week. Have your buddy pay the $25 or so loss as rental of the clubs for the week

Geoff, sorry I can't help you out - but you might get more offers if you lend him your set and instead you play with the borrowed clubs. Just a suggestion...

I appreciate all the generous offers, but I have found a set. Thanks again for all the help.
