    Good Window Repair Guy

    Hi,

It looks like I need to repair one of my windows. Does anyone know of a good, reputable window repair guy?

    Thanks,

Do you need your window replaced or just repaired? What exactly is the problem?

I called Scheel windows in Arnprior and they recommended a guy who replaced the glass as it was "foggy". I can't recall the name, but they usually sub-contract this kind of stuff out.

I can highly recommend Sine Services (Brock Sine) of Arnprior. A great tradesman with doors and windows, and one of the best 12 handicappers around! 613-761-8925.

    Window Repair in Arnprior

As a salesperson for a glass manufacturer in the area I know the majority of the local glass shops. If you want to talk golf while getting a great service contact Bill Greise at Arnprior Glass just around the corner from Scheel. He is a really great guy and very good golfer and a member at the Arnprior G&CC.

I know I am posting this well after the original post but I just joined today. Sorry.

    Still Looking (also)

    Hi,

Had a no-show from one company for an estimate to repair a window.
I'm looking through Canada 411 for another company. Has anyone ever dealt with Centennial Glass Depot?

    Thanks,

    Allen

Centennial Glass is one of my clients. Let me tell you that the staff is very qualified and from the bottom to the top they are service oriented. I fully support them and I believe you will join the long list of people they have made into happy customers.

Jason, (OR anyone else for that matter)

I believe I need to replace most of the trim around my windows. The windows were all replaced a few years back before I purchased the house but it would appear that they were not replaced by a 'qualified' contractor since I had 4 big leaks in the past year and a half. I was out looking more closely at them and wow, they need help. The trim on many of them is loaded with silicone caulking and the trim is starting to bend out of shape and warp quite a bit.

I am in Orleans, do you have someone to recommend?

    Bob

In Orleans I recommend Vit. Orleans Glass. Speak with Michel (Mike). Really nice guy and has been in the business for quite some time and has a proven track record.

In that area as well is Glass and Mirror +++ in Rockland who are extremely friendly and offer services beyond simple glass and mirror into showers and windows.

From the sounds of things Indio you could be suffering from thin grade PVC components. Unfortunately you really get what you pay for and windows are like a book on the shelf and its more than whats on the cover.

A good PVC window should have a solid frame with rigid pvc channels to allow the window to better withstand the natural strains endured by a window such as heat/cold, building movements, and regular use.

Any other questions feel free to contact me directly as that I sometimes do go a day or two between checking the forums here.

    Regards,

    Jason
