QUIZ: no cheating please
Who is the highest grossing actor ever
The actor doesn't have to be the leading role, he can be an extra, a supporting actor or whatever. The Total US box office takes of each of his movies totalled...
Animated movies count as well...
who do you think?
You can't use the internet at all for this onewilly

That's a tough one I would think that it should be one of:
Tom Hanks
Harrison Ford
Samuel L. Jackson
or Eddie Murphy
But some of the older guys like:
John Wayne and Paul Newman would probably far surpass the modern day actors if they got paid the same
I'm sure someone

I am willing to bet it is someone from Bollywood.

I'm confused. Are you asking what a particular actor personally earned for his work in movies or are you asking what the movies in which he acted grossed? The way you framed the question, suggests it could be either one or the other. As well, are you attributing to the lead actor in a film, the gross receipts realized by that film?

James Earl Jones?
Adam Sandler would be my other pick.

Samuel Jackson, I remember reading that somewhere recently.

I was going to say Clint Eastwood, but then I re-read your question and thought that maybe Harrison Ford. Don't believe he was a "star" yet for Star Wars so maybe...
When is the winner announced? And what is the prize? If I live in Quebec am I eligible....

LOL its a no prize contest. Ive given away many sleeves of prov1s this seaosn already
Here is who I think and I don't k ow who the winner is
Orlando bloom (pirates, lord of the rings)
The bad guy from matrix (matrix, lotr)
eddie murphy (skrek, Beverly hill cops and about 50 other movies)
L jackson (star wars, good fellas, pulp)
I would have to go with Jackson or murphywilly

Thanks for clearing up the confusion. So this has nothing to do with how much an actor actually earned, but how much the movies in which he or she starred actually took in. In that case, my guess would be Harrison Ford, primarily because of the Star Wars series. I believe they took in more money than any other movies or series of movies.

Your question caused me to ask myself which actor earned more money last year than any other. I can't believe the answer: Jennifer Aniston!
-

mike that is a good guess but remeber although there are 6 star wars movies no actor was in all 6. James earl jones did the voice of vader in 4though someone like bloom might be ahead of ford because of lord of the rings and pirates. Lord of the rings took in more money than any trilogy ever
As for aniston, what is the source? I can't see how that could be truewilly

I know this answer mainly because I'm a huge fan of one of the tv shows he was involved with in the 80s...
but I dont want to spoil it for everybody who is trying to figure it out. But I'll give all of you a hint... You're no where close! lol.
Samual L. is number 2 all time though.Scott - Golf...Fail.

Whoever acted in Titanic should have a leg up. It's gross numbers are staggering. For a film that cost $200 million to make it has earned more than $1,835,000,000. Amazing for so mediocre a movie.
-

Ok another Hint... This actor mainly works in TV... some film, but mostly TV.
and is certainly not Jennifer 'can't act' Aniston lolScott - Golf...Fail.

I have no idea, so I will say Pauley Shore...
