Most unexpected place one of your shots ended up

What's the weirdest or most unexpected place one of your shots ended up?

Recently I was playing at Loch March. On the 18th hole I had pretty much had enough, I was in the front right greenside bunker in 3. I hit my 4th shot fat and then stepped up and proceeded to blade my 5th shot over the green, over all the grass, onto the cart path and out of sight. I took an X.

As I walked toward the clubhouse on the way to my car, I kept an eye out for the ball. I found it about 5 yards from the clubhouse right next to a garbage can. I'm guessing it would be a full lob wedge distance from where I intended it to end up!

A few times a round my ball ends up in the strangest place - in the hole! I'm never quite prepared for that.


I don't have any particularly odd shots that come to mind, but my first round with my brother this year, he was playing over the water at Vieux Moulins (#13? I think?), miss-hit it badly left of the green and *splash* in the water. Darned if it didn't somehow kick out off a shallowly submerged rock and land on the green, 20 feet or so from the hole. He was more than pleasantly surprised when we walked up to the green and found his ball!

Not me, but playing with my brother in law once he hit one that missed the green, hit a cart path, and bounced a way up into a tree and didn't come down.

Playing a casual round at Predator, I went for the 18th green in 2. The group was getting into their carts as I was hitting my shot. I pulled the ball a bit and it hit the cart part and ended up in the ball pocket of one the golf bags on the cart of the group ahead of us...
