Downtown Toronto?

My son lives in Toronto. Still a student. He is a beginner and enjoyed playing Raceview with me as a first time out while here.

Is there any nice little cheap courses close to downtown Toronto. Public Transportation? or practice facilities that you would recommend?

Dentonia Park is on the subway system, it's right behind Victoria Park station just north of Danforth. It's a par 3 course, and I haven't played it since I was a teen so I can't say how well it's kept up. It's a city owned course, so it won't be too bad (or too good). There's also a range at Victoria Park and Gerard, which is a couple blocks south of the subway station, but right at a Go station.

don' valley. Its right next to the York mills subway station. 2 min walk. Very east to get to from downtown and its got a putting green and a net to hit into. Nice course

There's a nine-hole near Eglinton and the DVP called Flemington Park. It's got a river running through it, par 3s anf 4s and at 25 bills, you can't go wrong.
