Wild round..
What's your wierdest round to date?
This has to be my Jackal and Hide round since I've taken up golf... Yesterday at Kingsway Park, which is a wide open, feel good course...Typical weekend morning, after made some eggs for the kids and pleased the boss, I rushed to the course for my 8:20 am
With 5 mins to spare, we just did light warm-up, I told myself to swing easy and just have a good day.Started with bogey first, and match still square…Then came my "one per round" birdie, so I felt alright. The next seven holes were still surreal to me. With the exception of three putted on # 7, all were tap-ins for par. For a 15 caps, a 37 front nine, is estatics!!
Anyways, the term "don't count your chicken before they hatched" really applied here. Or perhaps, Mr. bobblehead, whom was four down at the time, said what could have sounded like a four letters word to me..."break 80!!!!" I proceeded to have as many double-bogies as my total pars..and ended up with 47 back nine. It's still my second lowest round of the season, but I'm still a bit bewildered…Told my wife about it…she didn't care, so I thought I look for a shoulder or two on the forum Have you even had such a large margin of shots difference??

10 stroke difference? Absolutley. But I've never shot a 37, 47. I've done 40, 50 or 45, 55. I feel your pain but just be happy with the 37. Saturday I shot 40 on 9 holes at Cedar Glen with a 6 & 5 on the par 3's, what could have been?????
Then proceeded to shoot a 46 and 51 at Emerald Links on Sunday with 5 lost balls.

My worst so far this year is a 42-36 at Stonebridge.
Four birdies, four doubles, three bogies and whack of pars. The putter was insane that day. IIRC total for the round was 25 including three in a row that were over 20 feet. The doubles were all either balls in the H20 off the tee or some similar disaster from the fairway. Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!

Sunday - 56 - 44.... 12 strokes... and my 56 on the front 9 came with back to back pars on hole 8&9.
I also finished Birdie, Par, Birdie, par, Bogey on holes 15, 16, 17, 18....yup i know.. in 6 of the holes I was -1... so in 12 holes I was + 27Scott - Golf...Fail.

Pfft, about 5 or 6 years ago I was playing Cardinal (north of TO) and shot a shweet 52 on the front. Met the beer cart at the turn, grabbed a few, shot an even par 36 on the back to still break 90.

I had 42-56 a couple of weeks ago...14 strokes. I guess i don't suck as bad as spackler.
I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

Oh Yes---been there done that---makes us remember we are mere mortals and our brains only connect with the rest of our body 50% of the time. played EL today--conditios were good--warm but a nice breeze--220 yd drive down the centre--step up for a 7 iron into the green and end up with a beavertail about a foot long and the ball advanced 6 yds---go figure . Ever shot 9 on a par 3? It can be done--just ask me Thank God for the HC system--I get a 3 stoke allowance Such is a good game of golf with your buddies I'll blame it on the humidity
Does the 2nd hole-n-one come easier ?

My weirdest would be couple weekend ago at a tournament at Loch March. Went out shot 36 on the front with 3 hard lipouts, 2 of which for par. Made the turn even felt good, par on the long 10th, very good bogey on the 11th from the trees, then a lipout for birdie on the long 12th. THEN came the 13th, a hole I long to forget. Couple in the water, 3 putts later I walk away with an 8. Then proceeded to make double on the 17th from 12 feet for birdie I finished 36-47. It hurt...real bad!

I can feel it really feel it it will happened sooner than later..It's a different game, when your driver works eh? My left wrist is pernamently taped flat for the season..(difficult to use the keyboard and play beach v-ball ..). 83 at Stonebridge and Le Socier, bring on sub 80!!! Likely be at Cloverdale or Kingsway though
