This hole is unique for the partying and the basketball style cheering. Great fun to watch and listen to. The rowdies are suprisingly respectfull during setup, but once contact is made WooHoo! The players expect it here, but here alone. I would not think it would be good for golf to have this all the time, but as a once a year tradition it's fun.
Judy Rankin's bet with the fan for hats was cool too.

I agree, it's a riot. I tend to go along with the comments made by the announcers that once a year this is fun, but if you had raucous crowds like that at every tournament it would be too much. Great tournament to watch from a TV spectators standpoint, and I would think a really fun event to attend in person.

The players seem to really the support of having everybody there wishing their ball into the hole ( & not just themselves!!)

It adds to the event.
