    Well, I stopped caring about what other people thought of my equipment a long time ago - and I have been a much better golfer ever since.

    The majority my clubs are by manufacturers that most golfers have never heard of. I usually carry a 9-wood, and I sometimes carry a sand wedge that was sold through infomercials. I use a brush tee for the driver because I like the consistent tee height. All of these things have helped me achieve lower scores, while the approval of others (or lack thereof) has not.

    I bought iron covers last year when I bought forged irons, because I wanted to protect them in case I decided to resell them. As it turns out I'll probably be keeping these irons for a while, but I've gotten used to the iron covers so I'll probably keep using them. But its really no big deal one way or the other.

    I enjoyed the photo of Woody Austin's bag in the July issue of Golf Magazine. That bag (and particularly his irons) looked like they had been to war.
