Would a wood shaft be the same as a driver shaft (fitting)

If I've already been fit for my driver shaft would it be safe to assume the same shaft 10gs heavier would make a good wood shaft? I really don't want to go get fit again

Not necessarily. Many variables to consider. Shorter length, hit down or sweep with fwy wds, what type of ball flight are you looking for (higher, lower, more penetrating)?

For some, just putting the same shaft as their driver in their fwys work, but not always. Fitting would be the best way to go.

Very true, but if you've spent the money on a driver fitting and are happy with the results, do the same for any other club you'd like to perform to it's best potential.

It just seems like you've dedicated yourself to getting better (lessons, fitting), so why stop now. You'll be more confident knowing you have the right equipment for your swing.
