pulling shaft from a callawy FT-3 driver

    HI THere,
any of you clumakers here have any success in pulling a shaft form a callawy FT-3 and then reshafting it into another club head? I have heard that you can not pull from a callaway driver and re use it in another?

I have a chaft in my FT-3 i would like to put into my cobra, not sure if anyone here could do that?

    Thanks

I've got an ft-3 coming and I'm interested in this as well. I'd assume it would be easier to reuse a shaft from an ft-3/5 than other Cally drivers because the heads aren't bore through so you'd only have normal tip prep on the shaft. you'd have to be careful pulling it as the crown is composite, but I assume it would the same as most drivers? Just guessing, but I'll probably want to reshaft my driver so I'm curious about the answer too.

The challenges with the FT-3/5 are that the hosel adapter doesn't take direct heat very well and the composite part of the head needs to be treated carefully.

It can be done but the person pulling it would have to be very comfortable doing it.

I've pulled shafts from composite crown drivers before and I wouldn't want to try an FT-3 unless it were my own.

Golftown or Golfworks might be willing to pull it for you.

They want you to send it back. I've reshafted a few. All you need is a lilltle tender loving care. Here is the GS method.
    cally

I have taken them out using a butane torch on the outside and a wet rag and the Ping ferrule adapter as shown in the link posted above. Most palces won,t do it because it voids the warranty.
