    ReservationMasters and weather cancelation

    Hi all,

I wonder if any members here know...I am a new member of RM and have a tee-time booked for 11am today. However I would like to cancel if possible due to the less-then-perfect conditions.

I know it is just light rain and I should really still go out but would RM consider this light rain as acceptable reason to cancel due to weather with less 24-hour notice?

    Anyone knows?

    Thanks!

Yes. Just put "Rain" as the reason for canceling when prompted.

I don't play in the rain either, it's just not fun. Our competitors don't allow last minute weather cancellations. They'll charge you regardless.

I'm in for RM next year as well. I felt really bad with not going with Dans product this year but 7 guys went with CG and I felt rushed "we sell out every year, get it while you can"

They can go with CG next year but I'll support dan and the website

I am RM and loving it. Wish Greensmere was on there, but I am playing way more this year than last.

I played today at Mississippi. I've been warmer playing locally in January than I was today. At one point, I couldn't feel the fingertips of my right hand. It was damn cold, and that wind was unforgiving. But we played every hole, and had fun.

Lately I have felt that the line "prices and courses subject to change" at the bottom of EGs advertising has more or less given them the right to do whatever they want to. They advertise a product in the autumn and when you get to spring the course is gone----after you have paid your money. Just like this spring---certain courses on the play list until the actual openning day---you go to book it---and it's gone. They start out with one price and the next week it changes. This may be minor but I think it's a little backhanded----it's like not lying but not telling the whole truth.

If I crossed the line guys--feel free to delete

I've heard the same thing from two other people who said they are never going to go with EG again and going talk all their friends out of it.. for the same reasons you gave. Lets see if I can get them all to switch to RM

I too can vouch for RM's forgiving "rain" policy. I have only had to do it a couple of times, and also once when I hurt my back. I recall calling Nigel about 5 minutes before tee time standing in the club house where the clerk was telling me rain is on the way while all I could see was sun. Sure enough 30 min later I would have needed water wings. Dan and Nigel are real gentlemen but it all comes down to us patrons not to abuse this true privilege. Let's be the envy of all the other clubs and keep it clean and fair.
