    shipping to a UPS store

I was looking to buy an item on-line from the US but the supplier didn't ship to Canada (Ottawa). So I gave up.
Then I was told that you can get stuff shipped to the UPS store in Ogdensburg. Then you can head down, pick t up and bring it back over the border (paying the appropriate taxes and duties).

for those who have done this, what is the process of getting it shipped to the UPS store? do you have to register or just give the vendor the address of the store.
    Details would be appreciated.

I had some stuff shipped to a UPS store in New Hampshire when I was down there last year. I e-mailed the store just to give them a heads up, worked perfectly. I was charged $5 per item for receiving.

Shipping to stuff to the Ogdensburg UPS I'm not sure of. You should be able to just put the address of the depot location with your name on it. Get a tracking number so you know when it gets there, and go pick it up! Just to make sure you don't have to already have a PO Box there I would give them a call first. They should hold it for like 5 days when they receive it.

I've done this with clubs, and car parts with the main depot location Hold For Pick Up at the location Potsdam!

After I pick up my goods I go and play a round at Partridge Run Golf & Country‎ which only cost $18 US when I went. The course was in excellent condition for only being $18.

Last time I had stuff go to Ogdensburg it was 5$/package, 2$/envelope.

I called in before the order to confirm everything, and called again to make sure it had arrived before going down to get it.

FYI - Never do it near holidays, it's not worth it. Went mid December once and waited 1h+ and had to find my own packages (which were all over the store) ... it was a real nightmare.
