Are all your wedges the same?
Just curious as to how many of you have the same make/model of wedges? I went to a 52*vokey and 56*,60* clevland dsg this year, thought the vokey was a lot nicer on long shots but really liked the versatility the dsg had for around the greens. So far it seems to be working and wondered how many out there had tried something like this?

Just got a spin milled set from Geoff so I now have the same make for all my wedges. (53,56 and 60)
I like it alot more because they are much more bottom heavy then my old wedges. I think its a + to have the same make on all your wedges.

No. I have two Srixon WG-706 wedges, 52 and 56. The other one currrently in my bag is a Vokey 58-12. I'd have a high loft Srixon except for the fact they do not make one with a high bounce which I want. Soft sand, high bounce required.
My bag is like a United Nations Meeting, many different races
TM, Nike, Cobra, Ping, Srixon, Titleist. Soon to be Callaway irons instead of the Pings. No one is paying me to play their twigs so I use what works best for me.My opinions are my own, I do not follow others.

I voted no because my PW is different from my 52/56/60. Same manufacturer but a different model.

Same make, but not the same model.
I have Wishon 560 irons with the matching 52* GW. I use my GW for full shots most of the time, so it makes sense to me to get the same model as my irons. I use a 58* Wishon CX Micro for 90% of my shots inside 50 yards, including bunker shots. Most of the courses I play have elevated greens, so I need a high trajectory to hold them.

I've been thinking about this. Right now, all of my clubs are very low quality. Probably the first upgrade I'll make is a good quality lob wedge, then one or two other wedges of the same make and brand.
I think consistency (both in my equipment and what I can do with it) will be important to my short game, as I don't get alot of practice or play time to develop good feel.
I don't know if it'll actually work out that way, but that's the way I'll be leaning when start looking at new clubs.Sucking at golf is it's own reward.

One thing to make sure you do is to check the lofts/lies on your wedges.
All clubs have manufacturing tolerances so you want to make sure the lofts are accurate.
Lie angle with wegdes is equally, if not more, important because an incorrect lie in a wedge will result in more directional error than in a longer club. Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!

The tightest I have ever seen quoted is +/- 1 degree.
So, if you have a club that is +1 and the next club is -1 you end up with only a 2 degree gap.
Also, once you start using them you can alter the lofts. This is especially true for forged clubs. Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!

I rock Vokey 50 and 54.. I would like a Vokey 60 but they have too much flange for me.. I would need a grind on there.. Thats why I have a Cleveland 900 60 degree which I love.

I'm using 4-pw x-tours and changed from x-tour wedges to ping mb 52,65,60 wedges , which i find much better .
But i'll be changing my 60 to something different with a little more feel to it.At the end of the day ... It gets dark

Be careful - changing the loft also changes the bounce.

Given the trend over the past ten years of manufacturers strengthening lofts, the PW is pretty much a 10 iron. I carry three vokey's in addition to the PW to compensate.

I carry four wedges. The 60 degree club is a Wilson Staff FG-51 Tour Blade. A new 60 degree Cleveland sits in the garage. I don't like its playing characteristics as much, even though the old Wilson club hardly has any effective grooves. The other three wedges (44, 48 and 52 degrees) are all Clevelands, but the 48 is a different style.
I tend to keep what's working whether or not it matches up with anything else in the bag.Proud member of the 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 Ottawa Golf Ryder Cup teams.

I carry two different brands: My 52 is an old chrome Cleveland 588 that is by far the oldest club in my bag. 56 and 60 degree wedges are Vokey Spin Milled.
I also go with what works.

All my clubs are TM Rac OS (2005)- PW, AW, SW, LW (45-50-55-60). Use the first three. Never practiced enough with the LW but it is gripped and ready to go. Before buying my last set I picked up a set of wedges from GT, Wilson's? (Tom Watson endorsed them). When I got my new clubs made sense to me to learn how to hit all the clubs and to have them made to the same specs, good or bad.

I've got all Clevelands - 53, 57, 60 degree trusty rustys. I like the idea of having all the same wedges, though I'm sure there's no tangible benefits.

i have my titleist dci pw vokey 54 Ping eye 2 56 vokey 58 and cleveland 588 60, i need many wedges to compensate for gap i had between my pw and sw. I would love to have all Eye 2 wedges I believe same make gives you better feel for club head response on different shots around the green.

All Taylor Made in my bag. TM Rac wedges and TM R7 irons. Had the wedges gripped with the same grips as the R7 irons and the consistency in my shots seemed to improve.
