Guitar tech?

I've got an epiphone strat laying around (looked up the serial no online and it was made in 1993). I don't really use it much as I prefer my les paul, and I picked it up today and noticed that there are some problems with the electrics. It cuts out ever once in a while...particularly if you drop the volume knob below 7...and the sixth string doesn't seem to register at all. Just wondering if there is anyone on here who would be willing to have a look at it and maybe do some repairs if necessary. Thanks,

is this the case for each pickup? you say that it cuts out, is this with the bridge, neck or middle pickup. if its only one then chances are they need replacing... or, if its happening with all of them then you may have a faulty wire or volume pot...

ive been taking my guitars to John at SimplyGuitars basline @ greenbank next to the petro canada. he is cheaper than anyone else in the city, and his turn around time is QUICK. i took my guitar in last week to him and he had it done in 35 mins. Long & Macwade on iris is a 2 week waiting list, and and steves in 3 weeks just to get them to look at your guitar. and his job is quality! tell him Jarred sent you.

Haha. I'm all ears. I was planning on selling it, but plugged her in for a test run and noticed the problems and thought it would be tough to move.
