    Malone?

Has anybody been to Malone in the past week? Thinking of going there in a couple of weeks and was wondering about the conditions.

Played 36 yesterday. Awesome. It was dry, the greens were a little slow. Well worth it...

Where do you 40 guys stay when you are down there. I ran one for a few years and stayed at the Crossroads. Now its a dump and closed up as well. Tried Econo Lodge one year but the bar downstairs is kinda the local bar and all us guys could'nt really stay together and drink and eat.

We go down the weekend of May 9th and have stayed at the SUPER 8 the past 7 years. Fairly good deal with the golf 230 Cdn.

We stay at the Sunset Inn Felix which is located in the east end of town
short 5 min drive to golf course
Hotel is probably a 5 out of 10 but serves a purpose
Play 36 holes on the friday and 36 holes on the sat as well we have two very good diners at the golf course and the cost of the carts for the second round each day are included
package is around 300.00 CDN mark
    Pretty good deal for sure
I think our group has been going for close to 15 years someguys even longer, kind of the golfing high point of the summer for some of us before the summer really begins

    Hackman,

I have been going for the last 8 years or maybe even longer 10...Lets hope it's not like 2 years ago...man that was cold and wet....Are you in shape for the Purple Jacket??? Always an Honor to wear out Saturday when we go clubing...

Guys You need to see the bar when 40 dummies come walking in....The women love it as a few of the boys have no weight rules...makes for one heck of a laugh if you have never seen a few of the boys in action....

It's also known The Sunset Estates!!!...just make sure your bathroom is working before going...Ask - V O 5, Cement Head Conan -Ron about that last -year...He was my roomy and that was a great room for 2 days....

PM me your info..maybe we know each other already

as far as being in shape for the jacket may have to let a few of the seams out should i be lucky enough to wear it this year (far too many pints after friday night hockey this winter)
Hope the weather holds will have my ping touque and gloves ready in the case we get a repeat of that weather a few years back
Should be a good time as our fearless leader always runs this show first rate
Will see you next week Bull and you know anderson will remind you about that budwieser sign again

Ya, I'm getting ready for the Budwieser slam again. It is brought up every year since that famous night...at least I had a goalies mask to hide behind that night.

The weather out look doesn't look good so far...Rain Friday, Rain Saturday...61 degrees both days....but what do they know....

    See ya in a week...

Gidday Bull, looking forward to seeing you in action in malone, and on the golf course too maybe! Are you bringing any of those cigars from the Gretzky Camp wih you?

no worries on the weather bull its just brings the low cappers back to the field and allows for us more skin opportunitys

Myself and buckyboy, volvo team canada reps 07 will be signing a few golf balls for the locals, afterwhich we promised Conan that we would put on a short game clinic for the boys. Figured this to be happening between the two 18's on sat so hope you can attend

O MY GOD----Did you guys see Ronnie's Thong on Saturday Night????I almost died and now I wish I had.....He was kind enough to come walking in our room at 11:45 PM(This I know, because my watch stopped), belting out and dancing to one of his best "Beat It" routines with a nice clean pair of socks and of course his custom made Thong...Once the song was over he thought he would do a little Tiger..Tried on a couple pair of new Golf shoes I brought him, than went into his air golf display with Play by Play...He's on the Tee, 564 yards and he has his 5 iron...Wow, what a swing, it's on the green...was he done? Nope had to change shoes and tee it up again...He's on the Tee, par 5 628 yards and he has his 2 iron.. Another smooth swing,,,,,,,,,,,,it's on the green...and of course all this was done with the Thong....
Than it's off to break a couple from the Heard....and I did see there was little branding done this morning...Speaking of this morning....around 8:30 ish out side my room Ronnie was kind enough to bring the Thong out one more time to say good morning.....which just happened to be 3 hours after I was able to get G-Lover out of my room..Not sure if he left because he was DONE or because we ran out of beer???...LOL

Again another 1st class weekend with the Best Group of guys one could ever think about going away with....You Guys are the best and thanks for allowing myself and Stump to be part of it....

PS...Was surprised on how many guys are part of this site..

Yes it was another epic Malone weekend. Couldn't think of a better way to start the golf season then with 40 friends, 2 great courses, roughly 14400 golf swings over the 4 rounds and almost as many beers over the weekend.

    And many great stories...
    Sumo in the parking lot.
    The Cialis commercial.
    One-eyed Sparky.
"Don" Oscar in his champions jacket.
