20 questions
http://q.20q.net/q.cgi
The server plays 20 questions with you and it is astounding how good it is. It almost always gets your word in less than 20 questions. It's got AI that learns from previous questions and answers. I was thinking, "so what" untill I tried it. It's amazing.

I just played and my object was a thermos. It guessed a travel mug in 18 guesses, then it guessed a thermos in 22 guesses. Very cool.

It got "camera" in 15, seemingly unrelated questions. I thought it's not gonna get it and then boom.
It got "Tripod" in 22, because I answered some questions not as expected. "Bigger than a breadbox" I answered "usually", but it expected "yes" However they do make small ones, so I guess it would have learned that from my answers. It is really well done.

I picked a flashlight and it failed after 20 guesses and then took another 8 to get it. A bit of fun.

There was an article on the guy who made this program I guess he's from Ottawa made it about 15 years back and now has finally sold some of it's rights to some individuals in an Asia I can't remember. It was either in last weeks Citizen or the week before. Good for this guy hopefully he makes lots of $$$.

Great!
My object was a "golf ball", it took 19 questions to get it. Question number 16 was, is it smaller than a golf ball? I said NO.

Ai
I thought that it would have trouble with my abstract concept - a halo. It guessed it in 19 questions. What is amazing is that I had a hard time answering the questions truthfully, yet it nailed it with one guess. I fear that its logic is quite a bit better than my own. We will soon all be replaced by a cyborg. But can it play golf.

My object was a golf club and not only did it not get it...it actually disagreed with a lot of my answers.
You were thinking of a putter.
Is it a synthetic material? You said No, I say Yes.
Is it straight? You said No, I say Yes.
Would you use it daily? You said Yes, I say No.
Does it require specific knowledge to use it? You said No, I say Yes.

It will also learn from your responses and adjust the answers based on all the answers recieved leading to a solution.
